Ms. Willie Johnson

Ms. Willie Mae Johnson, age 94, died on Sunday, August 16, 2020.

Ms. Johnson was a native of Emanuel County. She lived in New Jersey before returning to Lyons. She was retired from Oxford Boxing Company and was a member and Missionary of Macedonia Baptist Church in Lyons. She was preceded in death by her mother, Foulia Durden; her father, Milo Mathis; 2 sisters, Alviny “Fine” Mathis and Nancy Tillman; and 4 brothers, Henry Mathis, David Mathis, Milo Mathis, and

Milo Mathis, Jr. Survivors include 5 daughters, Annie Mae Eason (Candy), Lyons, Eddie Mae Jackson (Pookie), Lyons, Linda Hamilton, Lyons, Shirley Ann King (Shirley B), Savannah, and Martha Dean Powell (Deancey)(James), Vidalia; 1 sister-in-the-Lord, Eloise Howell, Miami, FL; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside funeral service was held on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at 3:00 p.m., at

Macon Cemetery.
