Lady Eagles Have Rough Week
The Montgomery County High School Lady Eagles softball team lost all three games they played last week. They faced Telfair County on Monday at home and then on Tuesday in McRae and lost in four innings in both games. They then fell to Johnson County in Wrightsville on Wednesday.
MCHS vs. Telfair
On Monday Telfair scored two runs in the top of the first inning. MCHS picked up a run in the bottom of the frame to make it 2-1, but Telfair added six runs in the second to pull away to an 8-1 lead. The Trojans plated four more runs in the third for a 12-1 lead.
MCHS scored a run in the bottom of the third inning, but Telfair closed out the game with 10 runs in the fourth inning to win, 22- 2.

In McRae on Tuesday the Eagles got on the board first with a run in the top of the first inning, but Telfair answered with four in the bottom of the inning. The Trojans scored three more in the second and then added six more in the third inning to lead 13-1.
They kept the Eagles off the board in the fourth to win by the run rule.
MCHS vs. Johnson
The Eagles were in Wrightsville on Wednesday. They took this game the whole seven innings, but they lost to Johnson County, 6-1. This week MCHS hosted Treutlen on Tuesday after presstime and will travel to Soperton to face the Vikings again on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. On Thursday they will be at Hawkinsville at 5:00 p.m.
