Briarwood Defeats RTCA

The Lady Crusaders of Robert Toombs Christian Academy dropped three softball games last week as they fell to the Knights of Windsor Academy on Monday, and then fell in two games in the first round of the playoffs to Briarwood Academy on Saturday.

RTCA vs. Windsor

Windsor scored three runs in the first inning jump out in front. They added two more in the third and then put four on the board in the fifth inning to win the game by the run rule, 9-0.

RTCA vs. Briarwood

Game 1

In the first game it was all Briarwood as they went up in the first inning with four runs. They added one in the second to lead 5-0. The Buccaneers scored two more in the fourth and then closed out the game in the sixth inning with a run to win 8-0.

Game 2

In the second game Briarwood went off for 13 runs in the first inning. They scored four in the second on their way to a 17-0 win in three innings. That ended the season for the RTCA Lady Crusaders as they finished with an 8-12 overall record and were 4-6 in Region play.
