Mr. Emmitt Tharpe

Mr. Emmitt E. Tharpe, age 71, of Soperton, died on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Meadows Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Tharpe was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. He was self-employed and was preceded in death by his parents, Elza and Delia Mae Wilkes Tharpe, and his wife, Carolyn Gillis Tharpe.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Tabatha (Woodrow) Fowler, Cedar Crossing; 1 son, Michael (Wendy) Tharpe, Vidalia; and 4 grandchildren, Caroline Fowler, Joanie Fowler, Trenton ( Jodi) Tharpe, and Tristan Tharpe.

Services will be held at a later date. Low Country Cremation and Burial is in charge of arrangements.
