Bulldogs Fall To Treutlen
The Wheeler County High School basketball teams faced off with rival Treutlen County last week and dropped a pair of games to the Vikings. The girls struggled to get the offense going while the boys lost a heartbreaker in overtime.

In the girls game Treutlen pulled out to an early lead and never looked back as they won the game 59-22 over the Lady Bulldogs.
Boys vs. Treutlen
The boys game was a close battle. Treutlen led 13-11 at the end of the first period, but in the second the Bulldogs went on a run and took the lead 35-28 at the end of the first half.
In the third period Treutlen closed the lead down to 50-46. In the fourth Treulten outscored Wheeler 19-15, which tied the game at 65-65 to force overtime.
In that final overtime period neither team put many points on the board, but it was just enough for Treutlen as they took the win, 72-68 over the Bulldogs.
This week the Bulldogs have just one set of games scheduled as they will play Telfair County on Saturday at home with games starting at 6:00 p.m.
