RTCA Wrestles At State

Robert Toombs Christian Academy's Middle School wrestling team traveled to Americus last Saturday to compete in the GISA State Tournament.

Issac Holton, seventh grade, wrestled in the 189 lb. weight class and placed 4th in the State. Other wrestlers for the Crusaders include seventh graders Easton Drew in the 117 lb. weight class and Grayson Smesny in the 137 lb. weight class. This wraps up the season for the team and Coach Chester Proctor said, 'I am very proud of all of our wrestlers. They overcame constant adversities, mainly with COVID-19, during the season. They all fought hard at the tournament and represented the team well. I am excited to see what these young men do as they develop and continue to wrestle in the future.'
