VHS Baseball Opens Season
The Vidalia High School baseball team opened up their season last week with a home game against the Cavaliers of Calvary Day and then traveled to take part in the Baseball at the Beach Tournament on Saturday.

It was one inning that separated these two teams. The pitching from both sides did an excellecnt job with Landry Mead for VHS going six innings and allowing just four hits. Caden Spivey closed out the game in the seventh for Vidalia.
Vidalia got five hits in the game, but were able to string some together with Walker Moncus and Michael Blount picking up RBIs as VHS got a 3-0 win over the Cavaliers.
VHS at the Beach
The Indians took on Bleckley County in their first game in the Baseball at the Beach tournament hosted by Glynn Academy.
The Indians picked up the win over Bleckley by the score of 4-2. VHS then took on the host team and picked up their first loss of the season. The Terros of Glynn Academy got their bats going as they rolled to a 9-4 win over the Indians.
This week VHS hosted Tattnall County on Tuesday after presstime and will be back in action on Friday with the Pirates of Appling County coming to town at 5:45 p.m. On Saturday VHS will be back at the Baseball on the Beach tournament as they face Prince Avenue Christian at 4:00 p.m. and McIntosh County Academy at 7:00 p.m.
