Wilcox Sweeps MCHS

It was a rough week last week for the Montgomery County High School Eagles baseball team as they were swept in a three-game series against Wilcox County.

Game 1

On Thursday at home MCHS fell behind 1-0 in the first inning, but a big fifth for Wilcox pushed their lead to 6-0.

The Eagles scored their only run of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Wilcox picked up a run in the fifth and then three more in the top of the seventh inning to take the win, 10-1.

Game 2-3

In the second game the Eagles did manage to score more runs, but the Patriots of Wilcox took the win, 11-6. In the third game Wilcox rolled to a 10-0 run rule win over Montgomery.

This week the Eagles take on Hawkinsville. The first game was on Tuesday after presstime, and they will play again on Thursday on the road at 5:30 p.m. and then on Friday in Mt. Vernon at 4:00 p.m.
