58th Lyons Youth Signups

The 58th Annual Lyons Youth Tournament is coming up and signups for the event are now open. The deadline to register teams for the tournament is May 7.

The tournament will kick off with both the boys and girls 14u age groups on May 20 and run through May 28. At the same time as the juniors, the 12u division will also run from May 20 – May 28. That will be followed by the 10u and the 8u divisions running from June 1 – June 5. Entry fee is $200 per team.

For the 14u and 12u divisions, all games will be played after 5:00 p.m. due to some students still being in school. The age control date for all divisions is September 1, 2021. Games will be played by GRPA rules except where high school rules may apply. The tournament is double elimination with all games set for six innings. Run rule will be 12 after 3, 10 after 4 and 8 after 5. Awards will be given to the top two teams in each division. There will be no limit on pitching but LRD asks that coaches use common sense with their pitchers. All ages must wear helmets with face masks except for 14u boys. Teams must have rosters at time of entrance. Bats must have USA Baseball Stamp and meet the new requirements, with 14u BBCore with -3 drop.

Admission fees for spectators will be $4 for adults, $2 for students and seniors, and free for children under 6 years of age.
