Mr. Larson King
Mr. Larson King, age 90, of Vidalia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Community Hospice of
Vidalia following an extended illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, a retired salesman, correctional officer, and for the past 11 years, a funeral assistant. He was also a 60-year member of the Masonic Lodge, a United States Army Veteran, a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he had been a member since 1969 and served as deacon and president of the Ready Men’s Sunday School Class, as well as chairman of ushers for the past 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Johnnie Mae King of Vidalia; a daughter, Debra Hodges of Vidalia; two brothers, William King of Vidalia and Herchel King of Kennesaw; and a sister, Loretta Palmer of Vidalia.
The family received friends on Tuesday morning, April 6, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Roberts–Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia. The funeral service followed at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Roberts–Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia, with eulogies delivered by Randy McDuffie, Ronnie L. Stewart, and Matthew Williams. Graveside service and interment followed at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
