Mr. Ronnie Joe Jones, age ….

Mr. Ronnie Joe Jones, age 70, of Lumber City, died on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Community Hospice in Vidalia after an extended illness. Mr. Jones was a native of Calera, AL, and graduated from Shelby County High School in Columbiana, AL. He was a superintendent with Conner Collins, Inc., and was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Hazlehurst. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Bob Jones and Theresa Irene Mitchell Jones; and his sister, Martha Lorene Jones Brace.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Jones of Lumber City; one daughter, Amy Strozier of Columbiana, AL; 1 stepson, Kevin Sellers and wife Danielle of Lumber City; 1 stepdaughter, Dana Wasdin and husband Charles of Hazlehurst; 1 brother, James “Jimmy” Jones and wife Debby of Columbus; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was held on Monday, April 19, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the Springhill Cemetery in Wheeler County, with Pastor Roger Daniels officiating.
