Mrs. Judy Phillips Mc-Donald, age 80, of Vidalia, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after a sudden illness. Mrs. McDonald was a native of the Johnson Corner Community and lived in Vidalia most of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of Vidalia Baptist Temple and was a long-time member of the former Vidalia First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Franklin Phillips, Jr., and Julia Dell Corley Phillips.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jack E. McDonald; 3 children, Terri Lynn McDonald, Gary E. McDonald and wife Wendy, and Ken McDonald and wife Robyn; 2 sisters, Diane Lawler and Becky Powell; 4 grandchildren, April Williams and husband Brandon, Shannon Schofield and husband Aaron, Jonathon McDonald and wife Lindsey and Dalton Lawler, all of Vidalia; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Gordon Tippins and Pastor Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial followed in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Wendell McDonald, Camron McCoy, Jonathon McDonald, Carson Scholfield, Aaron Scholfield, and Bob Lawler.
