TCHS Into Second Round
What a night it was in The Pit last Thursday as the Toombs County High School Bulldog soccer teams hosted their first playoff games in four years. Both the boys and girls picked up wins in their first round matches as the girls had to come back in the second half, while the boys rolled to a big win.
Girls
In the girls game against the Lady Indians of Dodge County, Toombs had to make a late comeback to clinch their ticket to the second round. Dodge got the first goal of the game with 20:52 left in the first half of the game to take a 1-0 lead. Dodge held onto that lead over the rest of the half and went to the locker room on top.
In the second half of the game the Lady Bulldogs got things going as they got goals from Angeles Tinoco and Cristina Tinoco to pull off the comeback and get the 2-1 win over Dodge County.
