Foskey Signs To Wrestle
Thursday at Treutlen High School, senior Ben Foskey signed his letter of intent to wrestle for the Lions of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA. Foskey played multiple sports for the Vikings but chose to head to college to wrestle. Foskey said, “I feel like I made the right choice to attend Emmanuel College, they have a beautiful campus and the coach made me feel right at home. I want to thank my coaches, family and friends for always pushing and supporting me. I am excited to get started on continuing my education and wrestling career.”
Treutlen Head Wrestling Coach Dwight Love added, “Ben started young and worked hard and I am excited for him to have this opportunity to attend college and be able to pursue what he wants to do. Ben has always been a really nice kid and sometimes in wrestling it is hard to flip that switch and be aggressive. I know that he is going to do well at the next level.” Mechelle Foskey, his mother, stated, “We are really proud of Ben. He has been wrestling since he was six years old. He played football, baseball and wrestled but he really excelled at wrestling and we are thankful that he has received this opportunity.”
