Mr. Donald DeBorde, age 79, ….

Mr. Donald DeBorde, age 79, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died on April 3, 2021, due to complications from a stroke and COVID-19.

Mr. DeBorde was born in Miami, FL, and graduated from Miami Edison Senior High School in 1959, and Georgetown University in 1963. After graduation, he primarily worked in college administration at several colleges in various capacities, including admissions, fund raising, development, and as vicepresident. He was active in his church as a choir member and taught adult Sunday school. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jane DeBorde, and his wife, Judith Ann DeBorde.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Anita Stokes; 2 sons, James and John DeBorde; and 1 brother, George DeBorde, Jr.

A private viewing was held on April 6, 2021, at All-County Funeral Home in Stuart, FL, and a private memorial service was held in Port St. Lucie. A graveside service and interment will follow on June 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Vidalia. The graveside service is open to the public and will be officiated by George DeBorde, Jr.
