New Library Building Named For Mark and Tonya Spivey
Naming Opportunity Results in Generous Gift
The renovation of the Ohoopee Regional Library System’s Vidalia branch has moved a significant step closer to the funding goal with a $250,000 donation for the naming of the new facility that will undergo ground breaking in December of this year.
The local branch will be known as the Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library when the new facility is completed and labeled with the name within the next year. The building will incorporate the Ladson Genealogical Library, currently housed in a downtown Church Street location, onto the property of the current library at 610 Jackson Street.
