Hall Signs With Treutt McConnell
On Thursday of last week, Vidalia High School star track and field athlete Myesha Hall signed her letter of intent to compete at Truett Mc-Connell University in Cleveland, GA. She will join the Lady Bears after a standout career with the Lady Indians. Hall was a member of the 2018 AA State Championship team as a freshman, holds the school record in the triple jump and was the 2019 State Champion in the long jump. Hall said, “The campus is very pretty with all of the mountains. I like the campus and their coaching staff at Truett McConnell they are all very nice and supportive. This is a big accomplishment, and a big step forward. I have to thank my mom, Coach Godbee, and the whole VHS coaching staff, my family and friends. I am excited to be going to Truett-Mc- Connell.” Her mother Evelyn Hall stated, “I want to thank everybody at VHS and her mentors for helping her get to this point in her life. I thank God for her and I think she is going to do an awesome job at the next level.”.
VHS Coach Mandy Godbee added, “I am very proud of Myesha, she has had her sights set on this from the moment I started coaching her. She knew she wanted to go to the next level in track and field. Her work ethic and determination are right up there at the top. Myesha is a very diverse athlete and can compete in just about any event that you put her in. They have no idea the quality of athlete they are getting with her. I can’t wait to see what she does in college.”
