Mr. Bobby Gene Fowler, ….
Mr. Bobby Gene Fowler, age 81, of Cedar Crossing, died on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.
Mr. Fowler was a native of Toombs County and lived all of his life in Cedar Crossing. He was a farmer, worked with Rosebud Manufacturing for 15 years and with Miller Septic Tank for 20 years. He attended Smyrna United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Fowler and Ella Faye NeeSmith Fowler; and 3 siblings, Douglas Fowler, Amy Fowler Adams, and H.J. Fowler. His family includes his wife of 62 years, Joan Claxton Fowler; 4 children, Rev. Robbie Fowler and wife Peggy of Cedar Crossing, Rusty Fowler and husband Stephen of Orlando, FL, Tammy Crawford and husband Robert, and Woody Fowler and wife Tabitha, all of Cedar Crossing; 1 sister, Sandra Fowler Cooper and husband Don of the Rackettown Community; 1 sister-in-law, Frances Dowd and husband Buddy of Riverdale; 7 grandchildren, Ashley Fowler Kersey and husband Lee, Jamie Fowler Carroll and husband Fate, Marli Crawford, Taylor Crawford, Owen Crawford, Joanie Fowler, and Caroline Fowler, all of Cedar Crossing; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Chad Watkins and Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Crossing Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Dowd, Chris Dowd, Lance Adams, Wendell Fowler, Greg Fowler, and Shannon Adams.
