Mrs. Carolyn McNair, age 78, ….

Mrs. Carolyn McNair, age 78, of the Normantown Community, died on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. McNair was born in Marion County, living in Thomson for many years, before moving to Toombs County in 1973. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lyons. She was preceded death by her parents, John Lewis Sinns and Merlie Thomas Sinns Hale; her stepfather, Mike Hale; and 3 siblings, Johnny B. Sinns, Barbara Pearson, and Jane Turner. Her family includes her husband of 57 years, Jimmy McNair of Normantown; 6 children, Donna McNair Driggers and husband Barry of Canton, Jamie Mc-Nair and wife Jennifer of Thomson, Wendy McNair Akins and husband Ben of Lyons, Becky Townsend and husband Steve of Adele, Pam Foust and husband Terry of Tucson, AZ, Jim McNair and wife Clarinda of Lyons; 3 brothers, Larry Sinns of Thomson, Ray Hale and wife Jan of Darien, and Randy Hale of Thomson; several grandchildren, including Anna McNair, Will McNair and wife Leslie, Nathan Driggers, Nick Driggers, Austin Akins, and Ansley Akins; great-grandchildren, including Harper McNair; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Dannie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
