Mr. James Collins

Mr. James Edward Collins, age 70, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga. He was born on October 10, 1950, in Soperton, GA, to the late Edward and Alberta Bellf lowers Collins. He was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed helping people, spending time with his beloved grandson, Bentley, and was a Mr. Fix-it who was able to read about anything and fix it himself.

Mr. Collins is survived by two sons, Steven and Christopher Collins; a daughter, Amanda Peterson; and his grandson, Bentley Peterson.

A private family visitation was held on Monday, August 2, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. with a memorial service conducted at 5:30 p.m. at Roberts-Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia.

Public visitation followed the memorial service from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Roberts-Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia.
