Vidalia Man Killed In One-Vehicle Mishap

A one-vehicle crash Sunday night in Montgomery County claimed the life of a Vidalia man. The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) reported that Bryce Mckinley Clements, 20, of Vidalia, died at the scene after his 2000 GMC Sierra overturned on Thompson Pond Road.

The accident occurred at 11:29 p.m. The GSP stated that Clements was traveling north on Thompson Pond Road when he failed to negotiate a left curve and veered off of the east shoulder of the road. The vehicle traveled 575 feet in the east ditch of the road before moving back onto the road and starting to overturn. The vehicle continued to overturn for 204 feet before striking a tree. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. GSP Cpl. Clint Brantley of Post #588 in Helena investigated the accident.
