Lady Eagles Drop Two

The Lady Eagles softball team of Montgomery County High School had their winning streak broken last week as they dropped games to Wheeler County and Wilcox County.

It was a close game between the Bulldogs and the Eagles. MCHS scored seven runs in the game, but Wheeler put two more on the board as they won, 9-7 over the Eagles.

It was a tough game for the Eagles as they traveled to Rochelle on Thursday of last week. MCHS managed only two runs while the Patriots of Wilcox put 12 on the board to take the game by the run rule.

MCHS is now 4-5 on the season and they are 3-5 in Region play. This week they were at Claxton on Monday after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday of this week as they travel to Wrightsville to face Johnson County at 5:30 p.m.
