Mr. Ramon Quintero, age 63, ….

Mr. Ramon Quintero, age 63, of Lyons, died on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after an extended illness.

Mr. Quintero was a native of Pharr, TX, and moved to Lyons in 1981. He worked with several farmers in the area and was Catholic by faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Alvares Quintero; and 1 brother, Doroteo Quintero. His family includes 5 children, Mary Jane Quintero, Vanessa Lopez and husband Andres, Jose Quintero, Maria Rodriguez and husband Herber, and Erika Quintero; his father, Ramon Quintero, Sr.; 10 siblings, Jesus Quintero, Sr., and wife Janie, Fransisco Quintero, Cervando Quintero and wife Lydia, Eloy Quintero and wife Elvira, Beto Quintero, Rosie Carter and husband Pete, Efrian Quintero and wife Mary, Selestino Quintero and wife Elvira, Prisila Reyes and husband Henry, and Emilio Quintero; 24 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service was held on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Lyons City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Hester, Raymond Hester, Eric Hester, Saul Lopez, Jessie “Boo” Quintero, Jr. and Francisco Quintero, Jr.
