Mrs. Janet Louise Hill, age 67, of Ailey, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Atlanta. She was born on January 29, 1954, at Camp LeJuene, NC, to the late John L. Kinney and Elgamarie Moseley Kinney. She had lived for more than 30 years in San Diego, CA, before moving to Ailey in 1993. She was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam, attended Charlotte Methodist Church, and was an accountant at Lowe’s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hill; her brother, John Lee Kinney, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Grancer “Bill” William Sells, Sr. (Donna); her daughter, Cassandra Leighe Swayne (Charles); her brother, James Leslie Kinney; three sisters, Joyce L. Kinney, Jennifer L. Kinney, and Juliane L. Miles; seven grandsons; and twelve great-grandchildren; and abundant nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. at Roberts– Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral service followed at 2:00 p.m. at Roberts–Stewart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shareon Womack to officiate. Military graveside services followed at Moseley Cemetery in Uvalda with Pastor Charles Carter to officiate. Pallbearers were grandsons.
