Vidalia PD Probes Weekend Shooting
Local authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend in Vidalia.
The Vidalia Police Department responded to a call in the 200 block of Fifth Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Saturday and discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the street near his car. when he was shot, according to a VPD spokesperson.
Rogers was taken by ambulance to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital and later transferred to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah for treatment of his injuries.
As of Monday morning, no suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident, but police are actively pursuing leads in the case.
