Indian Runners Take 1st
The Vidalia High School cross country teams traveled to Sandersville on Thursday, where they competed in the WACO Invitational, with both the boys and girls teams capturing first place. Six boys and five girls registered personal records, with the Indians out-pacing Baldwin by 41 points and the girls outrunning First Presbyterian by 23 points.
VHS Coach Mandy Godbee said she “continues to be excited” for her runners as the season approaches the backside of the schedule. “These runners continue to break through barriers every week. They are focused and determined as they prepare for their postseason. The development and success they have had is propelling them upward in the state rankings. As coaches we are excited for what’s to come.” The Vidalia runners will hit the road on Thursday when they travel to Guyton to compete in the Honey Ridge Invitational.
