Mr. John Lewis “Johnny” ….

Mr. John Lewis “Johnny” Jackson, age 55, of Higgston, died on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a brief illness. Mr. Jackson was a native of Montgomery County, living in Higgston most of his life, and was a 1984 graduate of Montgomery County High School. He worked as a lineman for Pike Electric and more recently with Scott Bridge Company. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Vidalia.

His family includes 3 children, Taylor Jackson of Vidalia, Coty Jackson of North Carolina, and Cheyenne Jackson Hodges and husband Caleb of Vidalia; his parents, John and Shelby Jackson of Higgston; 2 sisters, Charlotte Jackson Pierce and husband William of Anderson, SC, and Debra Jackson Craft of Uvalda; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service was held on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Sharpe Cemetery near Alston, with Pastor Wade Dean officiating.
