Mr. William Lumley

Mr. William Jarrell Lumley, age 82, of Adrian, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

Mr. Lumley was born in Emanuel County and was a graduate of Adrian High School. He was the Owner and Operator of William J. Lumley & Company for over 40 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and had attended Poplar Springs United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Joe Lumley and Ruby Gillis Lumley; his brothers, Joe and Jimmy Lumley; and 1 grandson,

Michael Gay. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce Lumley, Adrian; 2 daughters, Valeri Morris (Ed), Adrian, and Sonja Gay (Jamie), Dexter; his grandchildren, Cameron Morris (Jessica), Sylvania, Danielle Fordham, Rentz, Colby Morris, Rome, Haleigh Gay (Drew Watson), Evans, Chandler Morris, Adrian, and Carson Morris, Adrian; his greatgrandchildren, Sydney, Samuel, Chloe, Keely, and Abel; 1 special sister-in-law, Gwen Lumley; and numerous extended family and friends.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in Poplar Springs Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Hardin and Cameron Morris officiating.
