Eagles Split With VHS
The Montgomery County High School Eagles basketball teams traveled to Vidalia on Saturday to take on the Indians. The Lady Eagles took a win over the Lady Indians, but the boys fell to Vidalia.
Girls
In the girls game the Eagles jumped out to a 22-14 lead by the end of the first and pushed that lead to 39-24 by the end of the first half. MCHS led the game 50-34 heading to the fourth, and took the win 64-50 over VHS.
MCHS was led by Marley Bell with 22 points, followed by Amire Banks with 20 points and Makyla Bell with 10.
Boys
It was a close game throughout, but VHS pulled away in the fourth quarter. The score was 54-50 with VHS on top going to the final period, but the Indians outscored the Eagles 17-9 on the way to a 71-59 win.
This week MCHS hosted Hawkinsville on Tuesday after presstime. They will play next on Friday at home against Wilcox County at 6:00 p.m. and then on Saturday will be at Toombs County at 5:00 p.m.
