Mr. Truman White

Mr. Truman White, age 76, of the Orland Community of Soperton, died on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Treutlen County Health And Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. White was born in the Cedar Grove Community of Laurens County and grew up in Cedar Grove and Dublin, and settled in Treutlen County in 1989. He had a lifelong career of working with sheetrock and retired in 2015 after over 61 years in the trade. He was prededed in death by his parents, Hardy and Minnie Allen White; and siblings, Hardy “Uncle Jr” White, Jr., Bobby White, Johnnie Merle McCrimmon, A.B. White, David White, Jerry White and

Christine Foskey. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Joyce White, Soperton,; his children, Donna Richardson, Soperton, Trampas White (Laura), Dublin, Mark White, Soperton, and Troy White (April), Soperton; 3 brothers, Arthur White (Kathy) of Missouri, Roy Gene White (Barbara), Soperton, and Rayford White (Sharol), Pendergrass; 1 sister, Helen White (Mike Smith), Metter; 4 grandchildren, Mercedes Richardson, Heather Cox (Trey), Shelton Richardson (Sierra) and Forest White; great-grandchildren, Zaiden Cox, Ariel Paige Mclendon, M.J. Richardson, Carter Cox, Lincoln Cox and Kennedy Cox (who is due to arrive any day now); and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, with Rev. Albert White officiating. Interment followed at his home.

Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton was in charge of arrangements.
