Ms. Diane Johnson

Ms. Diane Williams Johnson, age 72, of Soperton, died on Monday, December 13, 2021, at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton. Ms. Johnson was born in Dodge County and lived in Treutlen County since the early 1960s. She worked for a short time with Cintas Uniforms in Vidalia and was a longtime homemaker. As a child, she attended Sweet Home Baptist Church in Milan and most recently attended Soperton First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Ruby Peacock Williams; and siblings, Kendall Williams, Ellis Wayne Williams, Cheryl Ann Posey and Connie Williams.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Sonia Joiner, Reidsville; 1 brother, Danny Williams (Wanda), Soperton; 2 grandchildren, Derek and Sabrina; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, with Rev. Gilbert Posey officiating. Interment followed in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Milan.

Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton was in charge of arrangements.
