Mrs. Dorothy Johnson

Mrs. Dorothy Bailey Johnson, age 72, of Montgomery County, died on December 1, 2021, in Orlando, FL. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Montgomery County. She attended J.D. Dickerson Elementary and High School. After graduation, she moved to Orlando. She began her spiritual journey at First Baptist Church under Rev. Jimmy Lee Hall in Vidalia. She continued in Orlando at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. T.C. Carr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jabe and Nellie Solomon Bailey; 2 sisters, Brunell Bailey Thomas and Carol Webber; and 2 brothers, Edward Bailey and Darryl Bailey.

Survivors include her children, Michael Bailey, Atlanta, Curtis (Stephanie) Johnson, Apopka, FL, Colette Johnson-Thomas, Orlando, George (Phylicia) Johnson, Stafford, VA, and Colita (Vernon) Smith, Orlando; 1 nephew/son, Donald (Susan) Jordan, Douglas; 2 siblings, Hershel Bailey, New Britain, CT, and Brook Bailey, Vidalia; her grandchildren, Shamella Knight, Lorenzo Knight, Corey Jackson, Dequan Harvin, Courtney Johnson, Julian Johnson, Kevaun Smith, Jai Thomas, Geovani Johnson, Idella Johnson, Isabella Johnson, Geordyn Johnson, and Aaron Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Ahri Knight, Rylee Harmon, and Azahria Harvin; 1 niece, Simone Bailey; 2 nephews, Paul White and Darieel Bailey; and many other relatives and friends.
