Brewton-Parker’s Coach Borde To Assist Antigua & Barbuda Women’s National Team
Brewton-Parker College Women's Head Soccer Coach Prince Borde has been tabbed to assist the Antigua and Barbuda Senior Women's National Team ahead of the Group A matches in the CONCACAF qualifiers for the upcoming 2023 FIFA World Cup.
The Technical Director of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA), Sowerby Gomes, has welcomed Borde's coaching experience and expertise to assist the women's national program for the next few months as they are set to compete in a tough group stage. The team is set to face Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Suriname and Anguilla in the group stage beginning in February. Borde was originally introduced to the ABFA while spending time on the island during a college combine held by the association. He will temporarily fill the coaching vacancy after the previous coach was hired to head the Fiji women's national team.
According to an article from The Antigua Observer, Gomes mentioned that Borde holds enough experience and expertise to help lead the team during this time. He also mentioned that Borde has great depth related to the resurgence of women's programs and creating successful programs. Gomes also stated that ABFA is confident in Borde's scheduled stint leading the program.
