Mr. Danny Hugh Adams, ….
Mr. Danny Hugh Adams, age 79, of Vidalia, died on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.
Mr. Adams was a native of Montgomery County and lived in Vidalia for 50 years. He was a 1960 graduate of Montgomery County High School and attended Brewton-Parker College. He was a U.S. Army veteran, served during the Vietnam Era. The majority of his career was in fabrications, and he was a founding member of Georgia Hi-Tech Fabricators. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert “J.R.” Adams, Jr., and Beulah Lester Craft Adams, and 1 brother, John Alfred Adams. His family includes his wife of 50 years, Anella New Adams of Vidalia; 3 children, Scott Adams and wife Geina of Uvalda, Chris Adams and wife Misty, and Mindy Adams Sumner and husband Clint, all of Vidalia; 1 sister, Gail Adams O’Neal of Lyons; 5 grandchildren, Brian Fowler, Justin NeeSmith and wife Heidi, Evan Adams, Ella Kate Adams, and Claire Sumner; 3 great-grandchildren, Chevelle, Kellen, and Kai; 2 sisters-in-law, Sandra Adams of Lyons, and Zackie New of Savannah; 3 nieces, Shawnee Gunn and husband Marvin of Vidalia, Allison Barr of Vidalia, and Dawn Lee of Lyons; 1 nephew, James O’Neal of Macon; 1 great-nephew, Jacob Barr of Lyons; and several cousins.
A memorial service was held on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Howard Conine and Justin NeeSmith officiating.
