Mrs. Ann Morris

Mrs. Ann Morris, age 89, died on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her son’s residence in Wrightsville.

Mrs. Morris was born in Treutlen County. She was a homemaker and worked at Soperton Manufacturing during the summer months. She attended the Union Grove Calvary Holiness Church in Wrightsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy L. Phillips and Nora Davis Phillips; her husband, Tunney W. Morris; 1 son, Donnie Craig Morris; her siblings, Buddy Ray Phillips, Katheleen Sammons, Doris Edge; and 1 granddaughter, Crystal Morris.

Survivors include her children, Connie Ely (Carlton), Cathy McCullough, Bruce Morris (Teresa) all of Soperton, Shirley Salter (Lonnie), Lorraine Morgan (Charles) all of Toombs County, Warren Morris, Moultrie, Randy Morris (Cindy), Bulloch County, Peggy Yates, Atlanta, Michael Morris (Gail), Wrightsville, Billy Morris (Lorenda), Tarrytown, ,John P. Morris, Semmes, AL; 32 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Yeomans and Donnie Morris officiating. Interment followed in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Brent Morris officiating.
