Mrs. Paula Watson

Mrs. Paula M. Watson, age 77, of Alston, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, after a sudden illness.

She was a native of Mexico, and as a child, moved to El Paso, TX. she and her husband lived in Troy, AL, for many years before moving to Alston in 2011. She was a homemaker, was raised Catholic and now Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Watson; her parents, Jose Munoz and Maria Munoz; and siblings, Elvira M Jauregui, Rosa M Munoz, Laura M Domingues, Franzisco Munoz, and Lorenzo Munoz.

Her family includes 2 daughters, Sandra Wood and husband Bill, and Penny Seabolt and husband Chris; 5 grandchildren, Kelsey Stephens and husband Zach, Callie Lambert, C.J. Seabolt, Faith Dudley, and Staci Wood, all of Vidalia; her siblings, Lilia M Werbowetzki, Guillermina M Elizomdo, Lupe M Robles, Teresa M Munoz, Irene M Best, Juan Munoz, and Roberto Munoz; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Maggie.

A graveside funeral service was held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, with Chad Zorn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society, P.O. Box 210, Vidalia, GA 30475.
