Mr. Wesley Luhn

Mr. Wesley Dingle Luhn, age 78, died on January 20, 2022, in Vidalia.

Mr. Luhn was a native of Charleston, SC, and lived in Charleston, Walterboro, and Savannah before settling in Vidalia in 1980. He had a career as a civil servant, working at the Social Security Office in Vidalia and Swainsboro until he retired. He helped to start the Red Cross in Vidalia, Secretary of the Vidalia Kiwanis Club, Band Booster President for Vidalia High School, Boy Scout Council Member and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Vidalia. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jan Luhn, and his parents, Wesley Dee Luhn, Jr., and Kathleen Warren Luhn.

Survivors include 1 son, Clifford McQueen Luhn and wife Micheline Mendelsohn, Arlington, VA; their children, Catherine, Isabella and Wesley IV; and 2 brothers, Robert Luhn and his wife Debbie; their children, Robbie and Jodie and Warren Luhn and Jane; their children, Gaelan and his wife Amber, David and his wife Melody and Amanda. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Jason Davis officiating. Burial will follow on Friday, January 28, at 12:30 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 342 Meeting St., Charleston, SC 29403. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Way, P.O. Box 352, Vidalia, GA 30475.
