Pot Confiscated, Suspect Arrested In Mount Vernon

Lawmen confiscated 15 bags of marijuana and arrested one suspect in a January 14 drug bust in Mount Vernon. Montgomery County Sheriff Doug Maybin reported that members of his Office, the Mount Vernon Police Department, and the Oconee Drug T a s k Force disc overed 15 bags of marijuana totaling approx imately 14.5 ounces after executing a search warrant at 816 West McKinnon Street. Also confiscated in the bust was $413 in cash and scales. Charles Stephen Roundtree, 34, was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

He has been released on a bond of $7,500 set by Montgomery County Magistrate Ashley Thornton.
