Wheeler Takes 3 More

The Bulldogs of Wheeler County High School faced off with the Bobcats of Dooly County at home on Tuesday and then hosted the Falcons of East Laurens on Friday night. Then on Saturday the Bulldogs hosted Telfair County. The Lady Bulldogs dropped all three of their games, but the boys won theirs to improve their record to 16-3 overall and 10-2 in the Region.

Vs. Dooly The girls have had a tough year and that continued against the Lady Bobcats. Dooly got the Region win 56-31 over Wheeler.

The boys came up with a tough Region win over Dooly. Wheeler had to hold them off down the stretch but won the game 55-50.

Vs. E. Laurens

In the girls game with the Lady Falcons, East Laurens jumped out to an 18-4 lead in the first and were on top 44-19 at halftime. Wheeler got the offense going in the third but were still down 64-37 heading to the fourth. The final score was 78-51 with Wheeler falling. In the boys game the Bulldogs pulled out a close win. Wheeler came out on top 61-56 over the Falcons.

Vs. Telfair

The Lady Bulldogs dropped their game to the Lady Trojans. Telfair won the girls contest 70-40.

In the boys game it was another close battle for the Bulldogs, but it was also another win for them. Wheeler won the game 69-66 over Telfair.

This week the Bulldogs will be at Treutlen on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and then will play at Dublin on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
