minutes left in the third. By the end of the third MCHS was on top 66-27.

MCHS went on to win the game 76-30. The Lady Eagles were led by Marley Bell with 26 points, Makyla Bell added 15 points, and Banks scored 10 in the win.

Boys vs. Johnson

In the boys game the Eagles were down 6-2 with five minutes left in the first quarter. MCHS tied the game at 7-7 on a three pointer by Xavier Brantley with just over one minute left in the first. MCHS took the lead on a pair of free throws by Brantley to hold a 9-7 lead at the end of the quarter. The Eagles were up 16-7 with 6:15 left in the first half, and it was 19-10 with five minutes on the clock. Johnson went on a run late in the first half as they closed the MCHS lead to 21-19.

In the second half the Eagles got back on track as they pulled away from the Trojans on the way to a 57-39 win.

Girls vs. Wheeler

On Saturday in Alamo the Lady Eagles rolled to a win over the Lady Bulldogs. MCHS was on top 21-5 by the end of the first and pushed that lead to 41– 13 by halftime. In the third MCHS outscored Wheeler 25-7 to hold a 66-20 lead heading to the fourth quarter. The Eagles took the win, 77-25.

MCHS was led by Makyla Bell with 22 points, Banks added 14, and Marley bell scored 11 in the win.

Boys vs. Wheeler In the boys game Wheeler jumped out to an early 8-2 lead on the Eagles. A three for MCHS closed that to 8-5, but Wheeler led 12-8 at the end of the first. In the second quarter the Bulldogs were on top 30-21 with just over one minute left.

Early in the third the score was 36-27 with Wheeler out in front. MCHS closed it to 36-30, but then the Bulldogs began to pull away.

In the fourth Wheeler was in front 63-42, and they took the win over MCHS 66-51. This week MCHS will close out the regular season. They took on Johnson County on Tuesday after presstime, and will be back in action on Friday as they host Telfair County with the girls game starting at 6:00 p.m.
