Mr. Robert Lee “Robbie” Toler

Mr. Robert Lee “Robbie” Toler, age 74, of Soperton, died on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Doctors

Hospital in Augusta. Mr. Toler was born in Treutlen County, the 12th of 16 children. The family moved to Central Florida and he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 – 1968 in Vietnam. In 1971 he married Pansy Darlene Turner, and they returned to Treutlen County in 1974. He was a skilled craftsman, working as an electrician at Adrian Homes for 25 years before opening his own company,

Toler Construction. Mr. Toler was a former member of Harmony Baptist Church and was presently a member at Holton Chapel Advent Christian Church. In addition to his parents, the late William Howard Toler and Willie Ann Hutcheson Toler, he was preceded in death by his canine companion Buddy; his granddaughter, Cheyene Leigh Kittrell; 11 siblings, Lugena Beasley, Lunette Prevatt, Mary Magdalene “Tinnie” Weeks, Pauline Toler, Willie Mae Toler, William Ernest “Bill” Toler, Arthur Toler, C. J. Toler, Bobby Toler and his infant twin James Lewis “Hoss” Toler, Frank Toler.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Darlene Tole of Soperton; daughter, Lisa Ann Kittrell (Stacy), Rockledge; granddaughter, Kalya Ann “Kayla Bug” Kittrell; 3 sisters, Reba Graham, Zaidee community, Sarah Ann “Patty” Bickle, Little Rock, AR, Florence Ann Davis, Jesup, and countless nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in the Williams Chapel of Samons Funeral Home with his nephew, Albert White and Pastor Morris Brantley officiating.

Burial followed in Holton Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers were nephews, Billy Toler, Tony Shedlowski, Michael Rogers, Spencer Davis, Billy Davis, Keith Weeks and Ricky Clark.

Sammons Funeral Home of Soperton was in charge of arangments.
