Lady Indians Win 2
The Vidalia High School soccer teams took on Woodville-Tompkins and Toombs County last week. The Lady Indians got wins over both squads, but the boys fell in both of their games.
Girls vs. Woodville
The Lady Indians rolled to an easy win over the Lady Wolverines. VHS put six goal on the board in the first half of the game and then added two more in the second half on the way to an 8-1 win. VHS had three girls with two goals apiece; Allie Whitaker, Georgia Meredith, and Aleah Ajohda. Hailey Pittman and Jewel Kitchens each scored one goal in the game.
Boys vs. Woodville
The boys lost a tough one to the Wolverines. Woodville scored two times in the first half and once in the second to take a 3-0 win over VHS.
Girls vs. Toombs
It was a battle between the two cross-county rivals. There was just one goal scored in the game, although both teams had several shots on goal. The only goal came from Meredith in the first half on a penalty kick. Addy Reid had a solid game in goal and came up with numerous saves to keep the Lady Bulldogs off the board and secure the 1-0 win.
Boys vs. Toombs
It was a close game in the first half as Toombs held a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half. But in the second half the Bulldogs came out firing as they put five more goals on the board to win the game over VHS 6-0. This week VHS played Jeff Davis on Monday after presstime. They will be back in action on Friday at home against Bacon County at 5:00 p.m.
