TCHS Splits With Vidalia
The Toombs County High School soccer team took on East Laurens and Vidalia last week. The Lady Bulldogs dropped both of their games, but the boys picked up the two Region wins.
Girls vs. E. Laurens
Against the Lady Falcons, Toombs scored one goal by Gisselle Delgado, but it was not enough. East Laurens scored two goals as they got the win over Toombs, 2-1.
Boys vs. E. Laurens
The boys rolled to an easy win over the Falcons. Toombs put three goals on the board in the first half of the game to lead 3-0 at halftime. Toombs added five more in the second half on the way to an 8-0 win.
Pablo Castanon led the Bulldogs with three goals, with Axcel Barbosa and Jose Leon each added two goals for Toombs.
Girls vs. Vidalia
The girls game was a battle. There was just one goal scored in the entire game. It was scored in the first half by Vidalia on a penalty kick. The Lady Indians took the win over Toombs, 1-0.
Boys vs. Vidalia
It was a close game in the first half with the only goal coming from Toombs County. But in the second half something clicked for the Bulldogs as they put five more goal on the board on the way to a 6-0 win over the Indians. Julian Marin-Vital led the way for TCHS with three goals, Leon added two goals, and Castanon scored one goal in the win. This week Toombs County will take on Jeff Davis at home on Friday with the first game starting at 5:00 p.m.
