Police Looking For Armed Robbery Suspect
Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Friday, March 4, at a Vidalia business.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., Vidalia police responded to the Family Dollar at 1101 East First Street where witnesses said a male suspect jumped the counter, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The assailant fled on foot after collecting the money.
The suspect is described as a tall, slender, African American male, wearing all black clothing and a black face covering.

The Toombs County Sheriff’s Office and the Treutlen County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit assisted the VPD in the incident.
