Heritage Defeats CHESS

The Eagles baseball team of Vidalia Heritage Academy played just one game last week but got a big win over CHESS Academy on Monday.

Mason Beacham had another big game at the plate with four RBI’s and Ledger Curl added three hits as the Eagles rolled over CHESS. Neither team scored over the first two innings of the game, but in the top of the third inning VHA took the lead as they picked up one run. CHESS answered in the bottom of the frame with two runs as they pulled ahead, 2-1. It wasn’t until the sixth inning before the Eagles were able to add two more runs to the board to put them on top 3-2. Heritage plated five more in the top of the seventh inning on the way to an 8-2 win.

On Tuesday of this week VHA hosted Sherwood after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday for a double header at Twiggs Academy in Macon starting at 3:30 p.m.
