Miss Desirae Cannon
Miss Desirae Lee Cannon, age 18, of Vidalia, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from injuries received in an automobile accident in northern Toombs County. Miss Cannon was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, a senior at Toombs County High School, and a member of Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) where she was serving as vicepresident for the state of Georgia. She was Baptist by faith, and was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Patricia “Pat” Kirkland. Her family includes her parents, John and Jennifer Cannon, and her maternal grandparents, John and Tricia Kirkland, all of Vidalia; her paternal grandfather, Rickey Cannon of McRae-Helena; her paternal grandmother, Jeanette Cannon and Thomas Duncan of Baxley; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral service was held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Clyde Fowler officiating. Burial followed ib Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Dylan White, Deshaun Gay, Logan Williams, Ryan Strange, Cole Williamson, Slade Partin, Trevor Sconyers, and Robert Steptoe.
