Mr. Wyman Palmer

Mr. Wyman R. Palmer, age 86, of Fernandina Beach, FL, died on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at his home after an extended illness.

Mr. Palmer was a native of Montgomery County and attended Kibbee School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and moved to Vidalia, where he lived most of his life before moving to Fernandina Beach in 2019. He was a self-employed commercial painter and was a member of Ruth’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Palmer; and his parents, Pat Palmer and Maudell Moore Palmer.

His family includes his wife of 64 years, Barbara Wells Palmer of Fernandina Beach; 2 children, Vicki Palmer Mihely and husband Buddy of Jefferson, OH, and Frank Ed Palmer and wife Nancy of Fernandina Beach; 3 grandchildren, Kristy, Kristopher, and Ben; and 3 greatgrandchildren, Madison, Finley, and Layton.

A graveside funeral service was held on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., at Pinecrest Cemetery, with Pastor Gaynor Ridgdill officiating.
