Mrs. Ouida Smiley

Mrs. Ouida Chambers Smilye, age 78, of Savannah, died on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Hospice of Savannah after an extended illness. Mrs. Smiley was a native of Montgomery County and lived in Savannah for most of her life. She was a 1961 graduate of Montgomery County High School and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Pauline Chambers; her husband, Paul E. Smiley; 1 brother, Lewis Edward Chambers; and 1 sister, Johnnie Foskey.

Survivors include 1 son, Michael Humphries and wife Margaret of Spokane, WA; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Humphries and wife Sarah of Bellingham, WA, and Susie Humphries of Oak Harbor, WA; 5 stepgrandchildren; 10 grandchildren; 1 brother, Dennis Chambers of Uvalda; and 3 nieces.

The funeral was held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., in the chapel of Baker Mc-Cullough-Fairhaven Funeral Home in Savannah, with Rev. Jonathon Phillips officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery in Savannah.
