gled to right field and stole second before advancing to third on a passed ball. She then crossed the dish from a double off the bat of Abbey Flowers. Madisen Nelson knocked in a run with a single to score Flowers for the 2-0 lead.
Cailyn Snellgrove scored in the bottom of the second to move the BPC lead to three runs, scoring from an RBI groundout by Alexis Bradshaw. BPC took advantage of the Stillman miscue, as Snellgrove led the inning off by reaching base via an error.
Brewton-Parker added a pair of runs in the third inning with MacKenzie Tripp producing a leadoff home run followed by Flowers scoring from a Snellgrove single late into the inning for the 5-0 lead. The Lady Barons tacked on five additional runs, jumping out to a 10-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Cox led by reaching on an error followed by a single from Strickland to move Cox to third. Strickland proceeded to steal second base while Cox stole home to score a run. Both Tripp and Nelson walked to load the base before BryAnn Pound reached base via an error to score both Tripp and Strickland. Both Nelson and Pound scored from singles until the inning was shut closed. The Tigers began to produce some offense in the top of the fifth inning scoring three runs on three hits, but the Lady Barons managed to enforce the eight-run, run-rule with three singles and a run to win 11-3 and to secure the two-game series sweep.
Brewton- Parker outhit Stillman 12-6 with Flowers and Strickland both notching three hits each. Both Flowers and Snellgrove led BPC with two RBIs apiece while Strickland produced three runs. The Lady Barons tallied five stolen bases with Strickland and Cox both recording a pair.
Nelson led with eight putouts with trip notching four assists. In the circle, Laykin Brown pitched for all five innings. She gave up three earned runs and allowed six hits. She walked two batters and struck out a pair as well.
Brewton-Parker returns to action on Wednesday with a trip to Cochran, Ga., to face Middle Georgia at 2:00 p.m.
