Ms. Lavon Floyd Trulock, ….

Ms. Lavon Floyd Trulock, age 66, of Vidalia, died on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after an extended illness. Ms. Trulock was born in Jacksonville, FL, grew up in Mt. Vernon, and attended Hapeville High School. She lived most of her life in Mt. Vernon, Vidalia and in Collins for 22 years. She served in the Army National Guard, worked at Glenwood Nursing Home, waitressed and drove a taxi. She was a member of Oasis Church of God in Lyons. Preceding her in death were her son, Shawn Floyd; and her parents, Sydney Frank Floyd, Sr., and Mary Etta White Shelby. Her family includes 2 grandchildren, Jade Floyd of Dublin, and Rome Floyd of Pennsylvania; 2 brothers, Allen Floyd and wife Susan of Lyons, and Danny Floyd and wife Debbie of Roberta; and nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service was held on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery, with Bishop Gilbert Wommack officiating.

Pallbearers were Allen Floyd, David Earl Skinner, Joshua Turner, and Dan Horne.
